The HHPR Series is the current high-pressure refrigerated dryer, rated 680 psig for PET bottle blow-molding lines and any process that runs compressed air at 40 bar and above. Eleven air-cooled sizes cover 115 to 2,400 SCFM: the three smallest on 115 V single phase with a solenoid drain, the rest on 460 V three phase with a timed electric drain, male NPT connections through 600 SCFM and Class 300 raised-face flanges from 750 SCFM up. An electronic controller shows the dew point, and pressure drop stays between 1.6 and 3.3 psid at rated flow. It replaces the HPET Series size for size.

Sizing at high pressure. Rate the dryer on the free-air flow the high-pressure compressor delivers, since the tables are already at the dryer's working pressure; A blow-molding line that draws 1,100 SCFM at 580 psig lands on the HHPR-1200; two such lines on one header take the HHPR-2400; Check the inlet temperature at the dryer: a high-pressure compressor's final-stage aftercooler should bring the air under 120°F.

Flows are the ratings at 100°F inlet and 100°F ambient, and several sizes carry a little more than their nominal number; connection, power and weight for the three 115 V sizes are confirmed on the quote.
From a 300 lb unit on 1-1/2 in MNPT to a 1,795 lb dryer on 4 in Class 300 flanges.
The HHPR-300 weighs 300 lb and connects with 1-1/2 in MNPT; the HHPR-600 is 390 lb on 2 in MNPT. From 750 SCFM the connections are 3 in Class 300 raised-face flanges, with the HHPR-750, -1000 and -1200 at 730 to 870 lb, and from 1,600 SCFM they are 4 in Class 300 flanges, with the HHPR-1600, -2000 and -2400 at 1,570 to 1,795 lb. Refrigeration compressors run from 1 hp on the HHPR-300 to 9 hp on the HHPR-2400, and pressure drop at rated flow is 1.6 to 3.3 psid. Cabinet dimensions, and the connection and weight of the three 115 V sizes, are supplied on the quote drawing.
Because the piping is Class 300 at these pressures, plan the flanged spools, the bypass and the isolation valves as part of the dryer order rather than an afterthought. Fit a high-pressure-rated prefilter ahead of the dryer and an afterfilter behind it, pipe the drain to a condensate treatment unit through a line that can take the discharge pressure, and leave the condenser face and the electrical box accessible. Air-cooled units reject the condenser heat into the room, which is rarely a problem at these refrigeration sizes.
