| Refrigerated Air Dryer | High Pressure | 45 to 1,000 SCFM | 725 psig / 120°F inlet |
The APET Series is the high-pressure refrigerated dryer for PET bottle blowing and other systems running between 200 and 725 psig: ten air-cooled sizes rated 45 to 1,000 SCFM at 725 psig, with a second rating published at 500 psig for the 35 bar lines, from 31 to 690 SCFM. The exchanger is a corrosion-resistant stainless steel tube-in-tube built for the pressure, moisture separation runs above 98 percent, and the initial pressure drop is about 5 psid. Connections are 1/2 in NPT through 125 SCFM and 1 in NPT from 200 SCFM, on 115 V, 230 V or 460 V according to size, in NEMA 1 electrical enclosures.
Two ratings for two line pressures. APET-125 is 125 SCFM at 725 psig and 86 SCFM at 500 psig; APET-570 is 570 and 393; A 35 bar line is sized from the 500 psig column, a 40 bar line from the 725 psig column with the difference as margin; 115 V single phase through 200 SCFM, 230 V at 260 SCFM, 460 V three phase on the 415 to 1,000 SCFM units; NEMA 1 electricals, with full-load current from 4.5 A on the smallest to 14.5 A on the APET-200.
Sizing a PET line dryer. A blow molder that draws 250 SCFM at 40 bar takes the APET-260; the same machine on a 35 bar line is sized on the 500 psig column and takes the APET-415; Inlet air above 100°F derates the dryer, so confirm the aftercooler on the high-pressure booster is keeping up; Above 1,000 SCFM the HHPR Series continues the high-pressure range to 2,400 SCFM at 680 psig.

Flows are at 725 psig with 100°F inlet and ambient; the 500 psig ratings run from 31 to 690 SCFM across the same ten sizes, and dimensions are the cabinet envelope in inches.
Five cabinet sizes, from a 71 lb unit to a 790 lb floor cabinet.
The APET-45, -65 and -80 share a 16 x 16 x 15 in cabinet at 71 to 102 lb with 1/2 in NPT connections; the APET-125 is 24 x 18 x 22 in at 124 lb, also on 1/2 in NPT. The APET-200, -260 and -415 share a 36 x 25 x 30 in cabinet at 162 to 345 lb, the APET-570 and -860 are 34 x 45 x 45 in at 567 and 582 lb, and the APET-1000 is 38 x 54 x 48 in at 790 lb; every size from 200 SCFM up connects with 1 in NPT.
One-inch NPT at 725 psig means schedule 80 or heavier pipe and fittings rated for the pressure, so specify the isolation valves and bypass with the dryer. Put a high-pressure-rated prefilter ahead of the unit and an afterfilter behind it, run the drain to a receiver or treatment unit through a line rated for the discharge, and keep the room between 40 and 120°F with the condenser face clear. The small sizes plug into 115 V; the 260 wants a 230 V circuit and the 415 and up a 460 V three-phase feed.
