The ND Series covers the drains that open only when there is liquid to discharge, so no compressed air is vented with it. Five mechanisms share the family. The NED 12 is a pneumatic float drain for filter bowls and small receivers, rated 290 psig. The NMD 6 and NMD 12 are magnetically latched float drains with no power connection. The TD 3000 is a pneumatic level drain with three inlets for tanks and separators. The NED-LC models are electronic level-controlled drains with a capacitive sensor, an alarm contact and a 115 V cord, sized from a shop compressor to a central plant. The NHD 12 adds a heater for outdoor or unheated locations.
What zero loss is worth. A timer drain set to open 5 seconds every 2 minutes through a 1/4 in port vents several SCFM on average, close to a horsepower of compressor running around the clock; Zero-loss drains pay back fastest on compressors that idle part of the day, when the timer keeps venting a full receiver; Two 1/2 in inlets on the 8LC and larger sizes let the drain be piped with a balance line so it fills under pressure without air-locking; NHD 12 heated version keeps the chamber from freezing on an outdoor receiver or in an unheated compressor shed.
One drain per collection point. Separator and receiver take the largest load: an NED-LC or TD 3000 with a balance line; The dryer separator and the prefilter bowl take an NED 12 or NMD 12 where no power is handy; Outdoor and cold-room receivers take the NHD 12, or an NED-LC inside a heated enclosure.

Ratings are maximum working pressure; the NED-LC drains are matched to compressor horsepower and condensate load when quoted, and the NED 160LC carries G-thread inlets. Inlet at the top, chamber below the lowest point of what it drains, discharge to the side.
Every drain in the series wants the same thing: gravity feed from the lowest point of the vessel it serves, with the inlet at or above the top of the drain body and no rise in the pipe between them. A drain mounted higher than the bowl outlet, or fed through a long horizontal run, fills slowly and air-locks. The float and magnetic models hang directly off the bowl or tank drain port on a short nipple; the TD 3000 and the NED-LC sizes with two inlets take the condensate in one port and a balance line from the vessel's air space in the other, which is what lets them fill under full pressure.
The discharge is a small port, 1/8 in on the magnetic drains, 1/4 or 3/8 in on the rest, and it should run downhill to an oil-water separator or a condensate line with no valve that can be left closed. Mount the electronic drains with the sensor upright, keep the 115 V cord and the alarm contact clear of the discharge, and leave a hand's width around the test button.
